Hello there!
My name is Rick Fairhurst and I am the Founder/CVO of Snowdrop Architecture, a new startup focused on enriching the lives of disaster victims, displaced persons, and residents of underdeveloped and developing countries worldwide. I am dedicated to creating housing that enables communities to thrive without external intervention, promoting an engaging and productive lifestyle. In my mind, if it doesn't make a dramatic difference, I'll find something else to do.
Over the years, I have worked as a library technician, an animal rehabilitation assistant, an orthopedic surgeon’s shadow, a bio-engineering intern, a drafting aid, an audio-visual technician, a cinematographer, an ARCKIT/Microsoft ambassador, and a KaTO/National Institutes of Health designer.
Throughout all these experiences, my journey has been filled with inspirational mentors and the idea that “everyone is a teacher.” To inspire and impact people’s lives gives me tremendous joy. Working together with others while also adopting leadership positions has been a powerful trait of mine that I hope to be able to pass on to others. To be a mentor and teach through inspiration is the very least I would like to be known for.
